Commissions Terms of Service.

General Terms:

Prices provided on the price list are not set. They purely serve as an orientation and are subject to change.

We reserve the right to reject any order for any reason.

All standard commissions are created in Our art style. No exceptions.

If you require a piece of art in a specific style please contact us via email.

When the client has a deadline as to when the commissioned artwork must be completed, it may further influence the price.

Process & Delivery:

The time it takes to finish your commission may vary depending on various factors such as health, number in que and the complexity of the commissioned piece. Any delays will be communicated in advance with the exception of emergencies. In case off exceptional circumstances time frames may be adjusted subject to approval by the client. 

Commissions are processed in phases.

Sketch phase: a rough sketch will be prepared and sent to you via email for approval. Any changes to the sketch will need to be clearly communicated as this constitutes a revision. additional references may be sent to outline changes requested

Details: Once a sketch is approved, line art/base colors and minor detail will be added and will again be sent via email for approval. Only minor changes will be accepted at this point and will constitute a revision.

Once the commission is completed you will receive the full-resolution image usually (3000px x 3700px) along with a web-friendly size(scaled accordingly) in PNG format only. Any minor changes at this phase will constitute a revision.

Please note that there is no physical product. Depending on where you reside, we can arrange prints at an additional fee.

Revisions:

You are allowed 3 revisions on a commissioned piece which are included in the price. Any revisions over and above this will be at an additional fee, which may vary depending on the request.

No revisions will be allowed on the final work – unless a misunderstanding from our side has been made. Changes to previously approved revisions will be subject to our approval and will incur additional fees.

Copyright & Usage:

We, SYTZ Media/Shano’s Art (the artist):

• Retain all copyrights over the commissioned artwork.
• Reserve the right to post the commissioned artwork online, in my portfolio as well as in publications such as art books.
• Will NOT claim rights to any intellectual property (IP) of the commissioned artwork.
• Will NOT profit further from the commissioned artwork unless agreed upon or you (the client) are in violation of any of the terms of service.

You (the client/commissioner):

• May upload the commissioned artwork on any website and social channels – as an icon for a personal website/blog or wallpaper as long as it is not monetized.
• May NOT use the commissioned artwork for commercial purposes, make profits from the commissioned piece (reselling, redistributing, uploading to POD-services, make prints, etc.)  unless agreed upon by us in advance.
• You may NOT alter the commissioned artwork in any way without our consent. This includes any form of commissions.
• Retain the rights to the intellectual property (IP).

-The following is considered copyright infringement:

• Reproducing/using the copyrighted artwork commercially – means making money off it in any way, unless agreed upon in advance.
• Claiming the artwork as your own
• Altering the artwork without our consent

Payment:

Commissions are paid 100% upfront. Any amendments to the price due to additional revisions or changes in the commission must be paid prior to receiving the completed work.

Cancellation / Refunds:

No refunds will be granted once work on a commission has been started.

If a commission is canceled before any work has commenced on it you may receive a full or partial refund, this will depend on the reason for cancellation and is subject to our approval.

If for any reason we are unable to start your commission, or complete you commission in the communicated time frame, you will be granted a full refund.

If you are receiving a refund, methods and processing of the refund will be discussed prior to it being processed.
